The NDIS will provide information, referral and linkage to ensure families and carers are able to access supports in the community to assist them in their role.
Guardians or nominees of people with disability play an important role in the NDIS to represent the interest of the person and they can contact the NDIS on behalf of the person.
The NDIS funds supports that families need as a result of a family member’s disability, as well as supports that enable sustainable caring by family members.
