Supports for Early Childhood Early Intervention

The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach supports children aged 0-6 years who have a developmental delay or disability and their families/carers. The ECEI approach supports families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.

The NDIS has engaged Early Childhood Partners around Australia to deliver the ECEI approach. In the Bayside Peninsula region, the NDIS ECEI Partner is the Brotherhood of St Laurence. Early Childhood Partners are experienced in providing early childhood intervention.

The ECEI process is:

  1. Connect with an ECEI Partner (eg Brotherhood of St Laurence)
  2. Get some helpful information
  3. Work out support needs
  4. Referral services and supports
  5. NDIS access
  6. Monitor progress
