Too busy to make it during the day?
Star Health offers extended hours clinics during the week, with a full suite of services available after-hours. This means more appointments and options are available to meet your needs.
How do I access the GP Service?
The GP Service is open to all clients with a Medicare card and are conveniently located at our Prahran and South Melbourne sites. We are open Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5pm with late night services to 8pm on Tuesdays at Prahran and Wednesdays at South Melbourne.

My Health Record
The national digital health record, previously known as the ‘personally controlled electronic health record’, has been renamed My Health Record. My Health Record is a summary of your health information and available to your GP and GP Practice nurses.  From January 1st all Australians records will automatically be included. Information is stored securely and record includes:
- Medicines you are taking
- Allergies
- Medical conditions
- Recent tests
- Other information you may wish to add.
You are able to manage your record through the mMygov website (www.myhealthrecord.gov.au) or to opt-out If you wish. We have brochures and information available at our South Melbourne and Prahran centres.
Health Care Homes
Star Health is pleased to announce that our GP Practices are participating in the Australia-wide Health Care Home pilot program over the next 18 months.
For patients with several chronic illnesses, Star Health can become your health care home,  a one–stop place for all your health needs. We will work with you to develop a care plan which includes your GP and our Nurses, as well as specialist staff such as diabetes nurse and physiotherapist. Your care will be coordinated by a team dedicated to you.
